Per the DOH Message Board dated 5/20/2015

The 2014-15 MCARE surcharge letters and invoices were emailed to Nursing Home Administrators on April 20, 2015. Included as an email attachment was an invoice statement for the amount due to the Department.
This is a reminder that the due date for the surcharge is June 20, 2015.

Act 52 of 2007 authorizes the Department to assess an administrative penalty of $1,000 per day on facilities that fail to pay the surcharge within 60 days from the date of the letter.
