Candace L. McMullen (RN, NHA, MHA, CLNC, CNDLTC)
Executive Vice President of Business Development & Consulting, Affinity Health Services
Candace currently serves as the CEO / President of PADONA overseeing the organization’s operations. In addition to PADONA, she is the Executive Vice President of Business Development and Consulting for Affinity Health Services, Inc. located in Indiana, PA. Prior to joining Affinity, she spent thirteen years as the Chief Operating Officer of multi-site organizations overseeing communities in both Pennsylvania and Maryland. Her experience includes serving as an operations consultant with a mid-Atlantic accounting and consulting firm as well as a project manager with Quality Insights of Pennsylvania. She has experience as both a provider and consultant working in all business sectors.
Candace is a Registered Nurse and Nursing Home Administrator licensed in both PA and MD. She is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, working with defense attorneys in senior living malpractice cases. She earned both her Bachelor of Science, Degree in Nursing and her Master of Health Administration from The Pennsylvania State University.

Sophie A. Campbell (MSN, RN, CRRN, RAC-CT, CNDLTC)
In July 2022, Sophie joined PADONA full-time coordinating the organization’s professional development and educational programming and services. In this role, she plans and coordinates educational programming and resources for our membership, including directed inservice training and DON orientation, training, and mentoring for brand new and seasoned nurse leaders. She works closely with our stakeholders on industry initiatives affecting our membership. Most recently she worked as a Director of Clinical Advisory Services for Baker Tilly US, LLP a national accounting and advisory firm, where she assisted providers with clinical operations, education, management coaching, MDS evaluations, and mock surveys. Her provider experience includes serving a multi-site organization in the role of director of quality, education, and compliance / compliance officer as well as working in the roles of a CNA, registered staff nurse, supervisor, clinical manager, DON, staff development, admissions liaison, program manager and chief nursing officer.
Sophie earned her bachelor of science – nursing and master of science in nursing administration degrees from The University of Pittsburgh.

LuAnn White
LuAnn joined the PADONA staff in December 2023, providing administrative support to our executive team, Board of Directors, membership, and business partners. LuAnn is typically the first point of contact for our members and business partners as they learn to navigate the various benefits of membership. She processes and records all membership, conference, certification and educational programming applications and payments. LuAnn is the conduit to help you find the resources you need.
LuAnn joined PADONA after retiring from the Naval Support Weapons System with 35+ years’ experience, holding positions in financial analyst, management, data systems, and inventory management. During her time with the federal government, she was a subject matter expert on the various services and programs under her purview.

Debbie Supplee (MSN, RN-BC)
Staff Development Coordinator, Pocopson Home
Debbie began her nursing career at Pocopson Home in 1986 as an LPN. During her time there, she held positions of Charge Nurse, Staff Development Instructor, Nursing Supervisor, ADON, and DON. She currently serves as the DON at White Horse Village, where she is proud of their wound program which maintains acquired rates well below state and national average. Debbie is also a member of ANA/PSNA and Sigma Theta Tau International and received board certification from ANCC in geriatrics (RN-BC). In 2005, she earned her associate degree from Delaware County Community College, a BSN degree from University of Phoenix in 2012, and MSN from UOP in 2014. She has been a member of PADONA since 2007 and has served on the Board of Directors since 2015.

Angela Huffman (RN, WCC)
Compliance Specialist, Ascension Living
Angela was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2022, bringing with her more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare and long-term care fields. She began her career as a Quality Assurance State Surveyor for the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Angela also served as both an Assistant Director and Director of Nursing for two skilled nursing facilities. She gained over 25 years of experience as a Clinical Services Consultant and Compliance Field Investigator serving a region of 68 long-term care facilities across 8 states. Angela’s compliance and risk management experience led her to serve as a specialized nurse paralegal conducting comprehensive medical record reviews and analysis for defense counsel. Angela previously served as the Vice President of Clinical Services at Affinity Health Services before moving into her current role assisting post – acute care providers as a Clinical Program Specialist for Real Time Medical Systems. Angela is a speaker and author holding certifications in healthcare compliance and wound care (National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy). She has also earned a Certificate of Training in Infection Prevention in the long-term care setting as well as a Certificate in Elder Law and Chronic Care from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Angela has been a member of PADONA since 1993.

Jessica Sharer (RN, MSN, CNDLTC)
Vice President of Clinical Excellence & Reimbursement, Presbyterian Senior Living
Jessica has over 25 years of experience in skilled nursing care and aging services in a variety of roles including ADON, DON, and Clinical Support Manager. She has been employed with Presbyterian Senior Living since 2009 and is a certified nursing director of long-term care. She serves on the Saint Francis University Nursing Program Advisory Board. She received her associate and bachelor’s degrees in nursing at Mount Aloysius College and completed her master’s degree in nursing education and leadership at Saint Francis University. Jessica is responsible for leading Presbyterian Senior Living in the development of clinical programs and services and clinical reimbursement which improve the health and wellness of the people served in the role of Vice President of Clinical Excellence. Jessica has been a member of PADONA since 2010 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2019.

Marie’s nursing career began in 1993 with her foray into long-term care in 1995. She currently enjoys sharing her long-term care knowledge and experience working in facilities throughout Pennsylvania. She received her associate degree from Lock Haven University and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Marie has been a member of PADONA since 2008 and has joined the Board of Directors in 2017.

Deborah Kennedy (RN-BC, BSN, CNDLTC, GRN, RAC-CT )
Corporate Records & Reimbursement Manager and Extended Care Support Manager, Presbyterian Senior Living
Deborah has been a nurse for over 40 years with experience in acute care/ICU, inpatient rehabilitation, and post-acute care. She is currently the Corporate Records & Reimbursement Manager and Extended Care Support Manager (Regional Nurse) for Presbyterian Senior Living. In her role, she provides oversight of reimbursement systems and clinical / regulatory compliance support for all levels of retirement living. Prior to her current role, she served as a Director of Nursing in Long Term Care for 16 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Excelsior University and is certified as a CNDLTC, Gerontology Nurse, Geriatric Resource Nurse, and RAC-CT. Additionally, she has prior experience as a CARF/CCAC surveyor. In addition to being a 30-year plus active member of PADONA, she holds memberships with PANAC & AAPACN. Deb assumed her position on the Board of Directors in 2019.

Karen Haines (RN-BC, NHA, MSN, CNDLTC)
Executive Director, Homewood at Plum Creek
Karen received her associate degree from Catonsville Community College in 1987 and later received her Bachelor of Science degree in 2009 from Chamberlain College of Nursing. In 2013, Ms. Coleman was awarded her Master of Science in Nursing with a major in Nursing Education from Walden University. Since 1992 she has been Board Certified as a Gerontological Nurse and earned her Wound Care Certification in 2007. Karen has spent her career at Homewood at Plum Creek where she began in 1990 as a Registered Nurse. She served as the Director of Nursing from 1997-2017, where she coordinated and directed all levels of nursing care within the retirement community campus. In 2017, she became a licensed Nursing Home Administrator assuming the role of Nursing Home Administrator/Executive Director in January of 2018. Karen has been a member of PADONA since 1999 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2019.

Tammy Lucas-Coleman (RN, CNDLTC, RAC-CTA)
Vice President of Business Development and Consulting, Affinity Health Services
Tammy began her career in long-term care in 1998 and has worked in multiple roles in long-term care including Nursing Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Director of Nursing. By blending her clinical experience and managerial roles, Tammy has become an expert in nursing department operations, budgets, staffing, and human resources. In addition, Tammy has experience with development and implementation of quality assurance initiatives focused on improving residents’ quality of care and life in a long-term care environment.
Tammy has an advanced certification in resident Assessment (RAC-CTA), is a long-term care certified director of Nursing (CNDLTC), is QAPI certified, Interact Certified, and has earned certification in Training in Infection Prevention in the Long-Term Care Setting from the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). She is a member of PADONA and of Leading Age PA and serves on the advisory committee for the Pennsylvania College of Technology nursing department. Tammy is also a member of the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN).

Christopher Evans (RN, CNDLTC)
Director of Nursing Services, Country Meadows at Bethlehem Nursing Center
Chris was re-appointed to the Board of Directors in 2022 having previously served 2016-2018. Much of his nursing practice has been dedicated to post-acute rehabilitation and acute rehabilitation. Chris has held nursing positions including staff nurse, RNAC-MDS Coordinator, RN Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing, Rehabilitation Program Coordinator, and Director of Nursing. Chris joined Country Meadows in 2024 as Director of Nursing at the Bethlehem Nursing Center. Chris received his associate degree from Lehigh Carbon Community College in 2006 and his BSN in 2023 from Chamberlain University. He has been a member of PADONA since 2013.

Kim joined our Board of Directors in December 2023 and brings over 35 years of nursing experience to the organization. Since 1996, she has served as a Director of Nursing in the post-acute industry. She is currently the Director of Nursing with Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line, where she has been actively involved in the Revising the Teaching Nursing Home project. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Messiah College and is a Certified Nursing Director in Long Term Care. Kim is a 30-year member of PADONA.

Tonya Sherry (RN, RNAC-CT)
Assistant Director of Nursing , Green Valley Nursing Home
Tonya joined the PADONA Board in October 2025 after more than 14 years as a member and brings over 30 years of nursing experience to the organization. She has spent most of her career at Green Valley Nursing Home, where she has served in a variety of clinical and leadership roles including MDS Coordinator, Charge Nurse, Infection Preventionist, and currently as Assistant Director of Nursing.
In addition to her role as ADON, Tonya periodically serves as a School Nurse for the Tri-Valley School District. She is a graduate of the Lancaster General School of Nursing, earning her nursing degree in 1995.

David Johnson (NHA)
Quality Improvement Specialist, Quality Insights
Dave joined the PADONA Board in October 2025 after serving in the field for more than 50 years in a variety of progressively responsible leadership roles in both finance and operations. After earning degrees in English/Secondary Education and Business Administration from LaSalle University, he began his career in the financial operations of acute care hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, and Continuing Care Retirement Communities. In 1996, he earned his Licensed Nursing Home Administrator credentials in Pennsylvania and surrounding states, where he was able to combine his financial expertise with operational leadership in long-term care. He has since served as an Administrator, Executive Director, and CEO with several national and regional providers, including ACTS, Springpoint Senior Living, Wesley Enhanced Living, Stapeley in Germantown, Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey, The Fountains Retirement Communities, and Marriott Senior Living Services.
More recently, Dave has provided interim leadership and consulting services to long-term care providers throughout the tri-state region. He has been actively involved in a number of professional organizations, including the Healthcare Financial Management Association Long-Term Care Committee, LeadingAge Public Policy Committee, and the Friends Services for the Aging Workers’ Compensation Board, and has presented at the national LeadingAge Conference. Dave has also been a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) since 2001, serving on the Pennsylvania Chapter Board as Vice President from 2014–2016 and as President from 2016–2017.

Scott joined the PADONA Board of Directors in December 2025 after many years of supporting the organization as a valued Business Partner. He is well known throughout the long-term care industry for his active involvement with various professional and trade organizations.
Since 2002, Scott has worked with Premier Therapy, where he began his career as a Physical Therapy Assistant before advancing into his current role as Business Development Manager. In this role, he is responsible for business development and relationship management and has built a strong reputation for cultivating trusted partnerships within the senior care community. Scott has achieved significant success in his position, earning numerous awards, including multiple recognitions as Salesperson of the Year and Employee of the Quarter.
Scott holds Associate degrees from the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics and Butler County Community College, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning from Franklin University.

Robin joined PADONA in 1996 and began her appointment to the Board of Directors in 2017. Her experience spans over 35 years within the post-acute industry. She began her career as a Mobile X-Ray Technologist with Keystone Mobile X-Ray later becoming MXI. In 2011, Robin joined the Columbia Ancillary Services Inc. team transitioning into her current role as director of business development / customer service and expanding her experience into oxygen and durable medical equipment.
