Scholarships
Each year we award three scholarships to members. Members can also recommend a facility or family member to receive a scholarship. We award scholarships for those continuing their education, for the annual PADONA convention, and to attend the PADONA’s LTC leadership development program.

Applicant Requirements
In order to be eligible for a scholarship award follow these easy steps:
- Complete the Scholarship Application Form (all sections)
- A short essay explaining why the applicant chose the nursing profession, reason for furthering education, and/or interest in caring for Commonwealth seniors.
- A letter from the school faculty and/or Dean/Director of nursing program indicating the applicant’s program enrollment, expected date of graduation, and validation that applicant is in good academic standing. A scholarship application must be completed and all steps taken for the entry to be reviewed by the scholarship committee. Your application must be submitted byFebruary 28, 2025 to the PADONA Scholarship Committee. Please e-mail applications to luann@padona.com or fax to 856-780-5149
Applicant Eligibility
- Applicants must be a Primary Member of PADONA for two consecutive years OR a non-member must be recommended by a Primary Member of PADONA who has been a member for two consecutive years.
- Applicants must have a Pennsylvania permanent address and be enrolled on a part time or full time basis in one of the following programs:
- • NLN accredited LPN program
- • NLN accredited diploma or associate RN program
- • NLN accredited BSN program
- • NLN accredited program leading to a master’s degree in nursing or nursing management
- • NLN accredited program leading to a doctoral degree in nursing or nursing management
Member Scholarships
Applicant Requirements
Members of PADONA may apply for a scholarship to attend one of our continuing education programs including our Annual Convention or PADONA’s LTC Leadership Development Program.
Please complete the following steps:
- Complete the application form.
- Write a paragraph or two explaining why you feel you should receive this scholarship.
Applicant Eligibility
- Applicants must be a Primary Member of the Pennsylvania Association of Nursing Administrations (PADONA) at the time of applicatt’s submission. the two year membership requirement does not apply for continuing education program awards.
