This infection preventionist boot camp will provide education that spans across the continuum of infection
prevention and control. The course will review the role of the infection preventionist
including core responsibilities. It will also provide regulatory foundations for IP systems
and process from F880 through F887 including antibiotic stewardship. The boot camp
will also cover risk assessments, surveillance and data management as well as the
various levels of precautions including immunizations and reporting. Additional
education will be provided related to respiratory virus preparedness, outbreak response
and survey readiness from the infection prevention and control perspective. There will
be information regarding environmental services and documentation required as well as
QAPI program and IPC alignment. Our educators will also address oversight of the
IPCP.
