Description

Menno Haven is seeking an Director of Nursing to join our leadership team! In this role, the Director of Nursing will provide 24-clinical oversight, lead and mentor the nursing team and ensure regulatory compliance while upholding the highest standards of resident care.

Essential Duties:

Organizes, administrates and supervises the total nursing service program in compliance with the regulatory process and operational guidelines.

Modifies nursing care policies and/or procedures to maintain highest practicable well-being of each resident.

Participates in preparation of the Nursing Department budget and is responsible to operate the Nursing Department within the confines of the budget.

Serves on interdisciplinary teams as requested (i.e., RCC, Nutrition, HCPT, Therapy, Behavior Management, etc.).

Demonstrates safe work practices using all safe guards and safety equipment and follows established safety rules, procedures and policies.

Requirements: 

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or a compact state required.

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a nursing leadership role in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), or long-term care.

Nursing experience in a long-term care or senior care setting is required.

Current CPR/AED certification required.

Experience with QAPI, wound care management and infection control required.

Strong leadership, team development skills required.

Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills required.

Ability to conduct audits, provide feedback and implement process improvements required.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.

Strong organizational and time management skills required.
