Located in Ligonier, PA, Concordia at Bethlen is seeking to hire an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to their management team!

This FULL TIME opportunity as the Director of Nursing will provide an experience to serve as the primary oversight of clinical operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON)

• Management of nursing staff and related issues, making sure state/federal regulations are being met.
• Participates in mock surveys, survey preparation, and Department of Health surveys.
• Monitoring QI/QMs and other indicators for quality.
• Assist with nursing policy & procedure creation, implementation, and education.
• Implementing projects to enhance resident/patient care and services
• Assuming the role of Administrator in his/her absence.
• Coordinates nursing operations with members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Commit to high ethical standards and complies with the Code of Conduct, accreditation standards and Concordia policies and procedures.

Qualifications of the Director of Nursing (DON):

• Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an approved RN school of nursing.
• Demonstration of leadership ability.
• At least 5 years of nursing experience.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others, both individually and as a team member.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Federal and State Skilled Nursing regulations.
