Chair, Board of Directors / Executive Director
Candace L. McMullen (RN, NHA, MHA, CLNC)
Executive Vice President of Business Development & Consulting, Affinity Health Services
Candace currently serves as PADONA’s Executive Director where she oversees the organization’s operations. She also serves as the Board Chair. In addition to PADONA, she is also the Executive Vice President of Business Development and Consulting for Affinity Health Services, Inc. located in Indiana, PA. Prior to joining Affinity, she served as the Vice President of Operations for a non-profit senior living organization overseeing five communities in Pennsylvania and Maryland. She previously worked as a consultant with a mid-Atlantic accounting and consulting firm as well as a project manager with Quality Insights of Pennsylvania. Candace is a Registered Nurse and Nursing Home Administrator licensed in both PA and MD. She has experience in the provider setting as an RN, Staff Development Coordinator, Quality Assurance Nurse, Director of Nursing, and Nursing Home Administrator in all sectors. She is also a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant who has worked with defense attorneys in senior living malpractice cases.
Executive Director of Programs and Services
Sophie A. Campbell (MSN, RN, CRRN, RAC-CT)
Director of Clinical Advisory Services, Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP
Sophie Campbell currently serves as PADONA’s Director of Programs and Services.
In addition to PADONA, she is a director in the Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP healthcare consulting group with greater than 35 years of operational and consulting experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on long-term care, and experience in acute care and acute rehabilitation. Her expertise includes operational and clinical areas for healthcare providers, including staff development, MDS accuracy and training, documentation compliance, management training and monitoring, OBRA survey preparation and response, development of performance improvement and clinical compliance programs, preparation of responses to RAC audit requests and findings and development of QAPI programs. Sophie also has experience in admissions management, care planning and management, restorative nursing program development and management, infection control program management, short-term rehabilitation unit conversions and hospital based TCUs. Sophie is certified as a rehabilitation nurse and as a resident assessment coordinator.

Debbie Supplee (MSN, RN-BC)
Director of Nursing, White Horse Village
Began Nursing Career at Pocopson Home in 1986 as an LPN. In 2005, earned RN and Associates Degree from Delaware County Community College. BSN from University of Phoenix in 2012, and MSN from UOP in 2014. Positions held at Pocopson Home include Unit Charge Nurse, Staff Development Instructor, Nursing Supervisor, ADON, and DON. I currently am the DON at White Horse Village. We proudly maintain our wound rate well below state and national average. Member of ANA/PSNA and Sigma Theta Tau International. Received board certification from ANCC in geriatrics (RN-BC).

Marie Goode (RN)
Director of Nursing, Medical Solutions
Marie has been in nursing since 1993. In 1995 she began her journey in long term care. She received her Associate Degree from Lock Haven University and her Bachelors degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She currently enjoys sharing her long term care knowledge and experience working in facilities throughout Pennsylvania. Marie have been a member of PADONA since 2008 and has enjoyed her role on the board for the past several years.

Vice President Area II
Jessica Sharer (RN, MSN, CNDLTC)
Director of Nursing, Windy Hill Village
Jessica has served as the Director of Nursing at Windy Hill Village for the past 10 years, serves a supporting role organizationally as the Extended Care Services Support Educator, and has 22 years of experience in a variety of nursing roles in skilled nursing care. Her skilled nursing care areas served include: Peer/Clinical Consultant DON; DON; ADON; and Nursing Supervisor. She is the Vice President Area II for PADONA and serves on the St. Francis University Nursing Program Advisory Board. Jessica received her Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Nursing at Mount Aloysius College, and completed her Master’s degree in Nursing Education and Leadership at Saint Francis University.

Joanne McMinn (RN-BSN, CDP, CNDLTC)
Assistant Director of Nursing, Pocopson Home
Joanne started her nursing career at Pocopson Home in 2011 as a nursing assistant while attending LPN school. Once graduating from LPN school and passing her boards, she was promoted to a full time LPN position. She enrolled in RN school as quickly as possible. She completed RN school and was promoted to a full time RN position on the short term rehab unit at Pocopson Home. While on this unit she started working on her BSN. In 2016 she was promoted to a unit manager position. She completed her BSN in May 2016 from West Chester University. She remains currently in the unit manager position. She became dementia certified in 2017 as one of her units is a secured dementia unit. She also holds a BA in English Literature with a minor in Psychology from West Chester University.

Wendy Hildenbrandt (RN, BSN, QDCS, CNDLTC)
Director of Nursing, Morningstar Senior Living
Wendy has been a registered nurse since obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Cedar Crest College in 1989. She has spent her career in long term care working as a CNA, Unit Manager, RN Supervisor, Staff Development Coordinator, CNA instructor, Human Resource Development Coordinator, and DON in both personal care and skilled care settings. She holds certificates as a Qualified Dementia Care Specialist and a Certified Nursing Director in Long Term Care. She has prior experience as a support group facilitator through the Alzheimer Association and in certifying neighbors through the Alzheimer Foundation Excellence in Dementia Care. She has been an active member of PADONA for over 15+ years. She is currently the DON at Morningstar Senior Living in Nazareth PA.

Kathleen LaVan
Director of Nursing, Oakwood Heights of Presby Senior Care
Kathleen is currently the Director of Nursing at Oakwood Heights of Presbyterian Senior Care. Since 1995, she has been working in the geriatric field serving in a variety of different roles. She currently holds a Masters of Science in Nursing degree.

Board Representative Area II
Karen Coleman (RN-BC, NHA, MSN, CNDLTC)
Executive Director, Homewood at Plum Creek
Karen received her Associates Degree from Catonsville Community College in 1987. She later received her Bachelor of Science degree in 2009 from Chamberlain College of Nursing. In 2013 Ms. Coleman received her Masters of Science in Nursing with a major in Nursing Education from Walden University. Most of her nursing career has been strongly focused in the care of seniors. Since 1992 she has been Board Certified as a Gerontological Nurse and since 2007 she has been Wound Care Certified. Karen joined Homewood in 1990 as a Registered Nurse and served this organization as Director of Nursing from 1997-2017. Ms. Coleman was responsible for the direction and coordination of all levels of nursing care on the Homewood campus.
Ms. Coleman became licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in 2017 and assumed the Nursing Home Administrator/Executive Director role at Homewood at Plum Creek in January of 2018. Karen has been a member of PADONA since 1999.

Christopher Evans (RN, CNDLTC)
Director of Nursing Services, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network at Good Shepherd Home Bethlehem
Chris received his Associates Degree from Lehigh Carbon Community College in 2006. He began his career with a focus in Critical Care and Emergency Nursing. The majority of his nursing career has been strongly focused in Post-Acute Rehabilitation, and Acute Rehabilitation Nursing. Chris has held nursing positions including staff nurse, RNAC-MDS Coordinator, RN Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing-Rehabilitation Program Coordinator, and Director of Nursing. Chris joined Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network in 2018 as a Registered Nurse in their Acute Rehabilitation Hospital after having left a Director of Nursing role elsewhere to raise his children. In January of 2020 he accepted the role of Director of Nursing at Good Shepherd’s Bethlehem Home.
Chris will be working to complete the requirements for licensure as an administrator in the future as well as completing his BSN. He has been a member of PADONA since 2013, and previously held positions on the board of directors as Area III representative, and Vice-President of Area III.

Candace Jones
Administrative Director, PADONA
Candace has worked at PADONA for 23 years maintaining membership records, program registrations and the distribution of continuing education contact hour certificates. She also performs bookkeeping for PADONA transactions, maintains all records and distributes minutes from committee conference calls.
Professional Development Nurse Educator
Rebecca Flack (BSN, MSN, CRNP, DNP)
Director of Nursing, St Anne Home
Rebecca has been a nurse for over 30 and a DON in long-term care for over 20 years. She obtained a BSN, MSN and CRNP from the University of Pittsburgh in 1995 and a DNP from Waynesburg University in 2010. She has been adjunct faculty at Waynesburg University, Carlow University and Westmoreland County Community College. She was Manager, Clinical Quality Assurance for Focus Care 2011-2016. CRNP experience includes community health nursing. Experience includes a CMS Contracted Reviewer for various insurance plans throughout the eastern United States in 2015. Rebecca is looking forward to working with many of the members in her new role as Professional Development Nurse Educator and co-committee chair for the Education Committee.
