Director of Nursing Services (DON) at Margaret E. Moul Home, York 

We’re seeking a seasoned RN to come and join our team as a Director of Nursing at Margaret E. Moul Home, our Medicare-Certified Skilled Nursing Facility. We are located in York, PA at 2050 Barley Road.

 

ABOUT US: Founded in 1982, Margaret E. Moul Home (MEMH) ( https://margaretemoul.org / is a Skilled Nursing Facility for adults 18 and older located in York County, Pennsylvania.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education, Skills, Knowledge, Work Experience Required:

  • Must have a current RN license in state.
  • Must have three years of Management skills in long-term care.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer-service orientation
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices, methods and tools
  • Must be able to interpret various operational and financial reports.
  • Must be able to hire, develop, evaluate and coach staff.
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable Federal and State regulations

Preferred:

  • Masters or BSN
  • Computer Proficiency,
  • Knowledge of Medicare/MDS requirements.
  • At least one-year long term care experience.

Responsible for but not limited to:

  • Supervising all nursing staff
  • Overseeing department budgets
  • Recruiting, selecting, directing, developing and educating and managing nursing staff according to standards of performance to ensure high quality care to all residents.
  • Assuring that nursing department functions within guidelines set forth by federal and state regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinating, monitoring and managing the quality and outcomes of resident care.
  • Communicating with doctors, residents and family members about resident health
  • Implementing new procedures and training nursing department on policies
