Compensation
The salary range is $99,932 – $148,558 annually.  We offer an excellent benefits package including health insurance coverage for employee and qualifying dependents, dental, vision, prescription, hearing aids, employer paid group life insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, and holiday leave, as well as retirement contribution plans.

Description

Serves as Nursing Director for 159 bed nursing home, assuming administrative responsibility of directing, assigning, supervising, reviewing, and evaluating the work of the entire nursing staff, including professional and non-professional employees. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Makes regular rounds of nursing areas to evaluate nursing care and makes periodic reports directly to the administrator. Evaluates nursing staffing effectiveness, assigning staff to meet objectives, maintain coverage, and provide a safe and therapeutic environment. Monitors and evaluates nursing department to ensure compliance with certifying/accrediting/regulatory agency standards and requirements. Serves on committees and attends staff meetings. Oversees attendance records and prepares work schedules and monitors leave usage of all nursing service personnel. Prepares annual employee performance evaluations. Attends seminars, workshops, and other out-service programs to stay abreast of current regulations and practices.

Minimum Experience and Training:

One year as a Nurse Manager 2 (with the Commonwealth) providing individual/patient care and services consistent with those needed for the type of health care setting for individuals/patients with a mental or physical injury, illness and/or development disability; OR  Nine years of professional nursing experience, including three years in a managerial capacity providing individual/patient care and services consistent with those needed for the type of health care setting for individuals/patients with a mental or physical injury, illness and/or developmental disability; and a Bachelor's degree in nursing, nursing education or administration; A Master's degree in nursing, nursing education or administration may be substituted for up to one year of required general professional nursing experience; OR  Any equivalent combination of experience and training that includes, three years in a managerial capacity providing individual/patient care and services consistent with those needed for the type of health care setting for individuals/patients with a mental or physical injury, illness and/or developmental disability.
