Director of Nursing (DON) – Pine Run Retirement Community, Doylestown, PA

 

Pine Run Retirement Community, is a seeking a dynamic, energized, motivated and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead our health care center located in Doylestown, PA.  As the Director of Nursing, qualified applicants will be responsible for administrative authority, accountability and responsibility to plan, organize, direct and evaluate all functions and activities of the nursing, medical records, and RNAC departments and medical consultant services, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern Pine Run, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

 Qualifications:

  • Must pass required health screen and testing before employment begins and yearly thereafter, as applicable to the position.
  • Must have an acceptable criminal history report as defined by the Older Adults Protective Services Act and its amendments.\
  • Five (5) years or more experience in management/leadership is preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Baccalaureate degree in related field preferred.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional staff.
  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
  • Must possess the ability to seek out new approaches, methods and principles and incorporate them into Nursing Department practice.
