Candace joined Homewood in April 2014 and oversees the total operations of Homewood's five senior living communities in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Prior to joining the Homewood team, Candace served as the Senior VP of Operations/Chief Operating Officer of Affinity Health Services, Inc. for five years where she oversaw the operations of seven senior living providers and also served a number of senior living organizations in a consulting role. Candace also worked with ParenteBeard, LLC as a member of their Senior Living Services Group and as a Project Manager with Quality Insights of Pennsylvania. She has experience in the provider setting as an RN, Staff Development Coordinator, Quality Assurance Nurse, Director of Nursing, and Nursing Home Administrator in all sectors. She is also a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant who has worked with defense attorneys in senior living malpractice cases.

Susan received her BS degree from Geneva College. While holding the position as Director of Nursing at a long term care facility she received her license as an Administrator subsequently holding positions as Assistant Administrator and consequently Administrator. In 1981 she founded deBeer Piscator, Inc. a management firm for nonprofit health care organizations and in 1988 established PADONA holding the positions as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer.

Terri has been a nurse for over 30 years and in long term care for over 20 years. She received her BSN from Penn State University in 1996. Previously she was a Licensed Practical Nurse and a diploma RN. In 2012, she earned her Wound Care Certification. Terri in 2018 was promoted to NHA at Grove Manor after being the DON since 2006. Grove Manor received the Excellence in Quality Care Award through the Department of Aging. As a board member she is the Committee chair for the Bylaws and serves on the Scholarship and Education Committees.

Lois received her RN degree from Abington Hospital School of Nursing in 1988, her BSN and MSN/Nursing Administration from La Salle University. In 1999 Lois received her NHA license. Her experiences in long-term care include staff RN, nursing supervisor, RNAC, VP of Nursing, DON and an NHA. She has been the NHA and the Director of Health Services for a non-profit CCRC located in Newtown PA. Recently she was the Corporate Director of Medical Audits for a not for profit organization with 21 CCRC communities. Lois is currently the Administrator of Health Services for Fort Washington Estates. She is a member of ANA/PSNA and Sigma Theta Tau International. She holds her Geriatric certification with ANCC, (RN-BC) and with AANAC (RAC-CT). As a Board member Lois represents Area III and Chairs the Membership Committee.

Sophie Campbell, is a director in the Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP healthcare consulting group with greater than 35 years of operational and consulting experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on long-term care, and experience in acute care and acute rehabilitation. Her expertise includes operational and clinical areas for healthcare providers, including staff development, MDS accuracy and training, documentation compliance, management training and monitoring, OBRA survey preparation and response, development of performance improvement and clinical compliance programs, preparation of responses to RAC audit requests and findings and development of QAPI programs. Sophie also has experience in admissions management, care planning and management, restorative nursing program development and management, infection control program management, short-term rehabilitation unit conversions and hospital based TCUs. Sophie is certified as a rehabilitation nurse and as a resident assessment coordinator.

Sara joined Pleasant View Retirement Community in November 2012 as the Director of Nursing. She began her career in the long term care industry over 26 years ago as a certified nursing assistant. A cum laude' graduate from Cedar Crest College in 1997 with a BSN, Sara is currently enrolled in the NHA program at York College. Sara's first position as a Director of Nursing was in 2004. As a CWOCN, Sara went on to work at KCI for seven years presenting CEU programs related to wounds and wound care as well as supporting nursing staff in LTC with the use of the wound vac. Sara has worked for both profit and not for profit organizations. She is currently a member of the LGH/ECF task force in Lancaster County and is an active participant on the hospital readmissions subcommittee.

Began Nursing Career at Pocopson Home in 1986 as an LPN. In 2005, earned RN and Associates Degree from Delaware County Community College. BSN from University of Phoenix in 2012, and MSN from UOP in 2014. Positions held at Pocopson Home include Unit Charge Nurse, Staff Development Instructor, Nursing Supervisor, ADON, and DON. I currently am the DON at White Horse Village. We proudly maintain our wound rate well below state and national average. Member of ANA/PSNA and Sigma Theta Tau International. Received board certification from ANCC in geriatrics (RN-BC). Wound Certification from ABWM (CWCA). Fellow of the American College of wound care specialists (FACCWS).

Wendy has been a registered nurse since obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Cedar Crest College in 1989. She has spent her career in long term care working as a CNA, Unit Manager, RN Supervisor, Staff Development Coordinator, CNA instructor, Human Resource Development Coordinator, and DON in both personal care and skilled care settings. She holds certificates as a Certified Dementia Care Partner and a Certified Nursing Director in Long Term Care. She has prior experience as a support group facilitator through the Alzheimer Association and in certifying neighbors through the Alzheimer Foundation Excellence in Dementia Care .She has been an active member of PADONA for over 10+ years. She is currently the DON at Lifequest ( a 140 bed skilled nursing facility on almost 200 acres in Bucks County).

She is certified as a gerontology nurse and parish nurse currently working the night shift on the Older Adult Psych unit at Sacred Heart Hospital. June is on PADONA's board, Treasurer and Chair of the Scholarship Committee.

Marie received an Associate of Nursing degree from Lock Haven University and a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh. She has been working in Long Term Care for 25 years. Positions held include 11-7 Supervisor, Unit Coordinator, ADON and DON since 2008.Being a hospital based nursing facility, Marie was instrumental in implementation of the current EMR and E-MAR systems and remains very active in information technology. She has been a member of PADONA since 2008.

She is a member of the PADONA Finance and Strategic Planning Committees. Jessica received her Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Nursing at Mount Aloysius College, and is completing her Master’s degree in Nursing Education and Leadership at Saint Francis University currently.

Deborah is the Health Center Support Manager (Regional Nurse) for Presbyterian Senior Living providing clinical and regulatory compliance support for 7 years. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree and has been a nurse for over 30 years with experience in Acute Care /ICU, Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Long Term Care. She was a Director of Nursing in Long Term Care for 16 years with certifications as CNDLTC, board certified RN in Gerontology, and a Geriatric Resource Nurse. She has been a CARF/CCAC surveyor for 4 years. She is a coordinator for NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) and was a speaker at the national conference in 2016.

Joanne started her nursing career at Pocopson Home in 2011 as a nursing assistant while attending LPN school. Once graduating from LPN school and passing her boards, she was promoted to a full time LPN position. She enrolled in RN school as quickly as possible. She completed RN school and was promoted to a full time RN position on the short term rehab unit at Pocopson Home. While on this unit she started working on her BSN. In 2016 she was promoted to a unit manager position. She completed her BSN in May 2016 from West Chester University. She remains currently in the unit manager position. She became dementia certified in 2017 as one of her units is a secured dementia unit. She also holds a BA in English Literature with a minor in Psychology from West Chester University.

Linda has a BSN from Seton Hall University (NJ) and an MS in Organizational Science from Villanova University (PA). She has held progressive nursing and administrative positions in LTC for over 20 years (including educator, DON, special projects manager, corporate nurse and administrator). Her regulatory positions in State government have included 13 years in the Division of Nursing Care Facilities as a nursing home surveyor and field office supervisor and most recently as Director, Division of Home Health. She has also served on a variety of national, state and county task forces, committees and advisory boards in long term care. Linda has been an active member of PADONA since its start in 1987 serving as a board member, area vice-president, state liaison, education coordinator and journal editor.

Rebecca has been a nurse for over 30 and a DON in long-term care for over 20 years. She obtained a BSN, MSN and CRNP from the University of Pittsburgh in 1995 and a DNP from Waynesburg University in 2010. She has been adjunct faculty at Waynesburg University, Carlow University and Westmoreland County Community College. She was Manager, Clinical Quality Assurance for Focus Care 2011-2016. CRNP experience includes community health nursing. Experience includes a CMS Contracted Reviewer for various insurance plans throughout the eastern United States in 2015. Rebecca is looking forward to working with many of the members in her new role as Professional Development Nurse Educator and co-committee chair for the Education Committee.
