The Assistant Director of Nursing is delegated the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for the supervision and direction of the clinical managers and nursing supervisors. This authority includes ensuring that residents receive quality care and services that are based on comprehensive and accurate assessments of needs and strengths. This authority also ensures that the nursing team completes the implementation of the developed plan of resident care with evaluation of effectiveness and implementation of alternatives, as well as monitors these functions daily on an operational level. The Assistant Director of Nursing will effectively operate in an organizational culture characterized by team-work, precision, openness, engagement, challenges, reports and deliverable results. The Assistant Director of Nursing will be held accountable for departmental compliance, risk management and project planning. The Assistant Director of Nursing will assume the responsibility as the designated Infection Preventionist who is responsible for effective direction, management and operation of the Infection Prevention and Control Program.
- RN license in state of Pennsylvania in good standing.
- Minimum of two years of management or supervisory experience in nursing.
- CPR Certification by approved program that meets state and federal regulations.
- Minimum of 5 years nursing experience, preferred.
