Were you told that "if it isn't documented, it isn't done?" Is that a true statement? Although it certainly is not true, we do depend on documentation to support the care we provide to our residents.

This session will address how to optimize the quality of nurses' documentation while improving the resident centered focus, avoiding "standardized" check off lists. This session will also dive into how our documentation often creates risk in the way we write goals and plan approaches in addressing risk. Come learn a better strategy for your documentation.

Member Review:

PADONA's LTC Leadership Development Program was very helpful to me as I prepared for my new role as a Director of Nursing. Working in Long Term Care for over 15 years, I gained knowledge in many areas, but this program helped pull all the pieces together. I was able to gain confidence in areas that I was not as strong in and grow in many ways. I appreciated the speakers offering real life experiences to help us understand their topic areas. With the many changes in Long term care regulations and the survey process this course was extremely valuable. PADONA provided wonderful speakers and topics. Every Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing should attend this program!

While it can be both difficult and exhausting to address employee complaints, employers must be aware that certain types of complaints can trigger legal protection.

By discussing some hypothetical scenarios and actual Pennsylvania lawsuits, I aim to educate employers about the types of complaints that Courts recognize in wrongful discharge or retaliation lawsuits. I hope that employers can develop strategies to investigate and follow-through if faced with such "whistleblower" complaints.

1.0 contact hour will be awarded after completion of an online program evaluation which includes submission of your license number. Successful completion is attending the entire webinar and the completion/submission of the evaluation form.
